Regenerative agriculture in Gran Chaco is a project to assess and support the transition to regenerative agriculture in productive fields. It is carried out by The Nature Conservancy (TNC), which Agroganadera del NOA joined in 2022, for a period of five years at its Rancho Grande establishment in the province of Santiago del Estero.
This alliance seeks to optimize the planning and management of the native areas in the establishment, integrating continuous improvement principles to achieve a balance between productivity and environmental conservation.
Every year, Grupo Lucci’s technical team, together with TNC specialists, design the actions to be taken, which are recorded and assessed systematically.
“Like other countries in the region, Argentina is facing significant challenges due to the expansion of agriculture and livestock farming. The growing global demand for food is driving a steady increase in cultivated areas. To address such challenges, it is crucial to adopt systemic approaches and develop sustainable models that ensure environment regeneration. Only in this way will we be able to achieve a successful long-term transition for Argentina as well as for the rest of the region and the world,” said Ramiro Aznar, Agriculture Manager.
The project currently covers seven establishments located in Gran Chaco region and distributed between Santiago del Estero and Chaco. This joint model seeks to become a benchmark for the implementation of sustainable and regenerative farming practices in the region.
