Investing in people’s development is one of the keys to building Grupo Lucci’s future. The Young Professionals Program reflects that commitment by offering new talent a learning experience that combines training, real-world challenges, mentorship from leaders, and concrete opportunities for growth.
From Learning to Leading Production Processes
Luciana Mamprin, a chemical engineer, joined the company in December 2024 as a Young Professional at Plant A Laboratory, within the peel area. Less than two years later, she took on responsibility for the peel area at Plants A and B, where she coordinates comprehensive process monitoring and quality control of the finished product to ensure compliance with client specifications.
“At first, one of the main challenges was getting to know an industry that was completely new to me. I made progress through training, the support of my colleagues, and the experience I gained in my daily work,” she explains.
For Luciana, growth goes hand in hand with the development of technical skills—such as process analysis and quality control—as well as individual skills like teamwork, communication, planning, adaptability, and problem-solving.
An Opportunity for Professional Growth at the Heart of the Citrus Industry
The experience of Carla Valda, an industrial engineer, demonstrates how the program also fosters cross-functional development within the company.
She joined the company in December 2024 as a Young Professional in the Planning department, where she gained a comprehensive view of the business by working alongside Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Commercial departments. That experience allowed her to understand how the industry works and prepare for a new challenge.
After eleven months in the program, she was selected to join the Commercial department as an analyst.
“The fact that they trusted me to take on this responsibility was one of the most significant moments in my professional development and a huge motivation to keep growing,” she says.
Carla emphasizes that staff rotation between departments, the ongoing support from her leaders, the continuous improvement methodology, and the opportunities for feedback were key to accelerating her learning and strengthening her skills.
Growing Alongside the Orchards, Guided by Innovation and Sustainability
Santiago Gastón Figueroa, an agricultural engineer, joined the company in June 2025 as a Young Professional in Primary Production. In just over a year, he took on a new challenge as Head of Irrigation and Nutrition, helping to manage one of the key processes for orchard productivity and sustainability.
For Santiago, the first major challenge was making the transition from university to the labor market. “Grupo Lucci, and specifically Citrusvil, gave me a unique opportunity by committing to training professionals with no prior experience—something that is uncommon in the job market. It was also a challenge to quickly integrate into an established team and grasp the scale of a company that has enormous resources and expertise to tackle every challenge,” he notes.
One of the key projects in his professional development was improving the management and distribution of treated water from industrial plants for use in the orchards. This work made it possible to standardize its application thanks to the systematic recording of data.
Throughout this process, he strengthened skills such as communication, time management, adaptability, and critical thinking, always guided by the experience of his leaders and colleagues. In addition, he continues expanding his knowledge by doing a degree in Irrigation and Nutrition, a course of study that will help him further optimize agricultural practices and reduce the environmental impact of the business.
A Program That Develops Talent and Creates Opportunities
Beyond their individual journeys, Luciana, Carla, and Santiago agree on one thing: the support they received from leaders and teams was essential to transforming learning into professional growth.
Grupo Lucci’s Young Professionals Program offers an environment where new talent can gain practical experience, learn about the business from different perspectives, develop technical and leadership skills, and take on increasingly challenging responsibilities.
“With this focus on people development, at Grupo Lucci we continue strengthening a culture that promotes continuous learning, internal mobility, and professional growth as drivers to further advance innovation and the sustainable development of the business,” said Cecilia Bertikian, Head of Human Capital.
